GRAPHICS, SIGNS &
VISUAL MARKETING TOOLS

During their busy day, when they are ready to buy, do potential clients know who you are and what
you can do for them?

MARKETING MYTH #1 The big picture:
"We work hard, my clients see that and that is all that matters. They don't really care much about
my business image."

FACT #1: People buy based on their perceptions. One of the stumbling blocks in successful business marketing strategies is the mistaken belief that good intentions will overcome inadequate business presentations. People form an impression of your business based on what they perceive of you. Potential clients have no prior experience with you. They only have your business image to respond to. More than being memorable, marketing is about creating perceptions that guide people.

You are unique in what you do. Do people know what sets you apart? What kind of business image do you present?

The potential client will perceive a poor business image as an obstacle they must overcome when doing business with you.

It is a rapidly changing business environment. Huge shifts in spending habits are created by marketing techniques which change buyer perceptions. It is their perception of you which brings them to you in the first place.

MARKETING
You are either working on it
or it is not working for you.

BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF
Self evaluation is not easy. Is there something amiss with your business marketing? Something you can't describe or worse yet don't want to express? If you have reservations about your business image what do you think your potential clients think?

If you are not impressing them, why not? Who is?

If your clients have hesitations about you when looking at your business presentation how does that affect your business?

Are you working from a less than effective visual marketing base? Does your marketing image match the quality of your goods and services? The one that got away makes a good fish story but it is not at all funny when you talking about sales and clients.

Perhaps you are waiting for the just the right moment to develop and implement a professional marketing strategy?

If now is too soon, when is it too late?

MARKETING MYTH #2 Nuts and bolts:
"We do our own stuff.
Now days, anybody can make a logo
or graphic or layout a sign on a computer."

FACT: The bottom line is that a computer
WILL MAKE A BAD DESIGN
PERFECTLY.

An unskilled designer cannot build you a good image.

Not with a computer,
not with a printer.

Not with the best of intentions or with a wish or a prayer

NOT WITH ANY TOOL AT ANY PRICE.

IT TAKES EXPERIENCE.

It takes training and practice. Lots of it to create influential visual marketing tools.

GET REAL BEFORE IT GETS YOU
